Terrorists barred from Syria talks in Geneva

MOSCOW, Jan. 28 (MNA) – Meeting his Russian counterpart on Thu. Deputy FM Amir-Abdollahian reiterated Iran and Russia’s backing of Syria in war with terrorism.

We continue our all-out support for Syria, said jointly Iran's Deputy Foreign Minister Hossein Amir-Abdollahian and his Russian counterpart Mikhail Bogdanov in the news conference after their meeting in Moscow.

Amir-Abdollahian also reaffirmed that Iran and Russia are still committed to support the political efforts made by the United Nations Envoy to Syria Staffan de Mistura who is seeking Syrian-Syrian political negotiation.

Mr. de Mistura is arranging different sides to meet in Geneva but terrorists are not allowed into negotiations, highlighted the Iranian diplomat.

The senior Iranian diplomat also articulated that the Islamic Republic of Iran is hopeful about the coming event in Geneva.

He also described Saudi regime’s insistence on including recognizable terrorists in one list or another, “a not constructive action on its part."
